The six things you actually want to know.

Every product is read against the questions people ask most. When there's good evidence, you'll see it, with its source. When there isn't, Celeiq says so, instead of guessing or scaring you.

Scan the shelf.
Or the screen.

Most ingredient apps only work with a barcode, in the store. But you probably find most of your beauty products on your phone.

Screenshot a product from any shop, marketplace or post, and Celeiq finds the exact product, down to the size and shade. Or snap the packaging in your bathroom. Either way, it reads it right on your phone.

Your photos never leave your phone.

  1. Celeiq product screen

    Find the exact product.

Scan it, screenshot it or search for it. Celeiq lands on the size, shade and formula you're actually looking at, not a lookalike.

  2. Celeiq ingredient list

    See the whole label.

Every ingredient, in order, in plain language. Nothing hidden, nothing summarised away.

  3. Celeiq For You tab

    Read it for you.

Each point names the ingredient and where it sits on the label: glycerin at #4 of 41, fragrance at #33. Tap any of them to see why.

  4. Celeiq ingredient insight

For you and for everyone, kept apart.

What matters for your skin is different from what's generally known about an ingredient. Celeiq shows both, and never blurs them into one verdict.

  5. Celeiq profile screen

    Tell it who you are.

Skin type, concerns, allergies and preferences. Your profile is yours: it stays on your phone and you can change it any time.

  6. Then just ask.

"Can I use this with my retinol?" "Will this work for oily skin?" Ask about any product, and get an answer built from its actual formula and your profile, with sources. And an honest "we don't know" when that's the truth.

Questions, answered.

What is Celeiq?

Celeiq is an iPhone app that reads a beauty product's full ingredient list and explains what it means for you. You scan the product, or a screenshot of it from any shop, and Celeiq shows each ingredient in plain language, matched to your skin type, sensitivities and goals, with a source for every claim. It's launching soon.

How does Celeiq decide whether an ingredient is a concern?

It doesn't guess. Each finding comes from published evidence: EU cosmetic regulations, the EU's CosIng ingredient database, independent scientific safety opinions and peer-reviewed studies. Celeiq shows where a finding comes from and how strong it is. Where the evidence is thin or missing, it says so, rather than inventing a score.

Can I check products I find online?

Yes. Take a screenshot of a product on any shopping site, marketplace or social post, and Celeiq reads the product name from it and finds the exact product, down to the size and shade. You can also photograph the packaging or search by name.

Is fragrance bad for sensitive skin?

Fragrance is one of the most common causes of cosmetic skin allergies, but most people use it without problems. If you know you react to fragrance, it helps to know that one word, “Fragrance” or “Parfum”, can stand for many individual ingredients. Celeiq flags it against your profile and shows which labeled fragrance allergens a product contains.

Does Celeiq give medical advice?

No. Celeiq explains ingredients and the evidence behind them. It isn't a diagnosis or a substitute for a dermatologist. If you have a skin condition or a reaction, talk to a doctor.
